What this tool actually does

Most keyword tools give you a list of phrases and a volume number. That's useful, but it's only half the job. To actually rank, you need to know what kind of page each keyword calls for — a comparison, a how-to, a glossary entry, a use-case page. This tool does both: it expands your seed topic into a full cluster of keywords, then tells you what page type each one should be.

That mapping matters because Google (and AI search engines) reward pages that match search intent. A comparison query ranks best with a comparison page. A “how to” query ranks best with a procedural guide. Getting this wrong is the #1 reason content doesn't rank.

How to use the results

1. Start broad, then narrow

Use a generic seed first (e.g. "CRM software"). The tool returns a mix of head terms and long-tails. Then run follow-up searches on the long-tails you want to go deeper on.

2. Prioritize low-difficulty, commercial intent

Long-tail keywords with commercial or transactional intent are where small sites win. Green difficulty + purple intent is the sweet spot for early traffic.

3. Match template to keyword

Don't write a blog post for a "vs" query — write a comparison page. Don't write a comparison for "what is X" — write a glossary page. The template column tells you what to build.

4. Cluster, don't one-off

Group keywords that share a template into a single page batch. Ranking 1 page for 8 related keywords beats ranking 8 pages for 1 keyword each.

Frequently asked questions

Is this keyword research tool really free?

Yes. The tool is completely free with no signup required. It generates 40-50 keyword ideas per search, including search intent and difficulty tiers.

Where do the search volumes come from?

This tool returns difficulty tiers (low, medium, high) rather than exact monthly search volumes. Difficulty is based on keyword length, specificity, and commercial signals. For exact volumes from live SEO databases, a paid pSEO plan includes DataForSEO enrichment.

What does 'search intent' mean?

Search intent is what a user wants when they type a query. Informational intent means they want to learn. Commercial intent means they're evaluating options before buying. Transactional intent means they're ready to act (buy, sign up, download). Matching page type to intent is critical for ranking.

How is this different from Ahrefs or SEMrush?

Ahrefs and SEMrush return exact monthly volumes from their own backlink databases. This free tool uses AI to expand a seed keyword into a full topic cluster with intent classification and page-template suggestions — useful for planning, but not a replacement for volume data.

Can I use these keywords for programmatic SEO?

Yes — each keyword is tagged with a suggested page template (comparison, how-to, glossary, etc.), which makes clustering easy. For a full pSEO output with titles, meta descriptions, content outlines, and internal links across up to 300 pages, generate a pSEO plan from your URL for $19.
